Adding Sat Radio?
Adding Sat Radio?
I want to have the dealer add satellite radio to my RA. Would they be able to do only that? Since I know it comes in a package normally I'm not sure if it can be purchased separately. If so, how much does it cost?
Here's a how-to on installing Sirius for 08+ models, written by Jake26; it's a fairly easy/simple install...no sense in paying your dealer a labor charge

The Sirius unit is listed @ mitsubishiparts.net for $952.84.

You can try looking around the for sale forums and probably find a good deal on a used unit too

Yeah, they can do it seperate (just the Sirius module itself). I had them do that when I bought the car. They threw it in for free. If you can get the OEM module you should be able to do it yourself and save all the labor costs of the dealer but $900 plus seams pretty steep just for the Sirius module.
I would email Russel at mitsubishiparts.net and have him verify that part number will work for a 2010. Or you could just call your local dealer and check. You probably want to check and see what's all included as well. You need the Sirius module but you also need the satellite antenna as well that replaces the stock FM/AM antenna. I'm not sure if that part number includes everything or not.
