Sirius on Evo X GSR
do you have a button on your factory radio that says "SAT" that would indicate that your radio is "ready" for sirius, then if you DO have the button, push it and see if it gives you a id #.
if it does/has NONE of these, you would have to get a stock radio that does allow for sat radio and a mitsu/sirius tuner for it.
if you dont want to do that, then yes, you would have to swap for an aftermarket radio that is sat radio ready to have it all integrated, or a portable sat radio unit that is seperate.

Isnt it true that they dont sell XM or Sirius in Canada? I know you can get it elsewhere and have it work out there, but I heard from somone that they dont sell the units there.

Sirius Xm is now in Canada, you are right. It was not before.
I went though this whole sat radio thing. You can by a mitsu sat. box for like $250. Call the mitsu dealer to order the kit. All the head units are sat ready so you just need the kit.
I swapped out the whole deck and got an used and aftermarkter sat. reciever. ITs your call. Theres a thread here somewhere on it. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=382732

Since the Sirius unit is behind the glovebox, can you replace it with an XM unit? I've seen this done on many other cars. The two tend to be interchangable. I'll have to look in to it this weekend.
I don't know about anyone else, but my Sirius cuts out whenever I am in my garage (drywall and room covered - no concrete) and when I go under certain overpasses. **This never happened when I have XM on my Acura TL** So is it just Sirius or is something wrong with the car? The reception just seems flat out horrible.

Yes, any time I park in my garage, go through a car wash, go anywhere under, or inside concrete walls, I lose reception. It usually will say that on their discrepencys. I cant complain when its free. Maybe in a few months if I decide to keep it.
