2011 RA New Options!!!

I'm in Canada and was told by my local dealership that the new 2011 Ralliart will come in a standard. It is basically the GTS package without the Recaro's and a few other things. It will still be turbo'd of course and has lots of potential from what I am hearing.

I guess it all depends on who you talk to there. I'm assuming though that it was an official announcement as they all seem to know the same thing. They were also right when they told me to hold out for the 2.4 GTS . I ended up waiting and bought that one and then when it got damaged by a street sweeper I got it fixed and traded it on my 08 Evo X GSR that we got a sweet deal on!!

just googled it and it was confirmed on a few different car sites. The Ralliart will be 90 pounds lighter, have the same rims as the Evo GSR and 0-60 in 5.4 secs. The only thing I haven't confirmed is whether it is just a GTS with the 2.0 and the the turbo or if it will have the same handling package as the 09/10 yr

Don't want to burst your bubble but this has all been discussed before. All that you have stated has been rumor for about the past year. If they are going to upgrade the Ralliart I can't imagine that they will only upgrade it by only 5hp. Would you really notice a 5hp difference? Not really. Interior upgrades would be a plus. So would signifigant performance and wheel upgrades but I doubt it. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There is no way they would boost it more then the 5 hp, as they still want people to buy the Evo. I looked at the Ralliart when they first came out and the big reason I wouldn't touch one was because it wasn't a standard. Also with Canadian pricing it was overpriced and too close to the Evo in cost. Either way call it a rumor or not but I heard it from the dealership and googled it myself. We'll all find out for sure in April/May when they hit the dealership whether it was a rumor or not.

nobody mentioned this, but didn't they use almost the same exact "rumors" for the 2010 changes for the RA? I remember the massive rumor of 2010 RA's being offered in standard manual transmissions...and it didn't, but now I'm hearing the exact same words for next year?

I'm reluctant to believe it honestly after all the hype over last year's same exact rumor

I just think that if the dealerships are saying its coming out then they must know something.... either way its all a waiting game. I wasn't trying to step on any ones toes when I started the thread and was just putting it out there about what I heard. The only thing I find odd is if its a rumor why is it being released on Car and Driver and other car sites.

Rumor link: http://www.autoinsane.com/2009/06/17...d-information/

It's not from Car and Driver but I think the original source was Road & Track.

It's not from Car and Driver, it's from their forums in which I could post the Evo XXXXIIII will be so fast you can travel back to the 50's and stop Biff from raping your mom.

Besides, read the link. The comments debunk the blog post.
