to hear a ticking sound while the car idles? Hot or cold, it doesn't matter its always ticking. Car only has 7k kms on it, and is completely stock. Using mobil 1 with only 2k kms on it...

sounds different than my 4b12... i thought he meant the a/c compressor clutch click but thats only when ac is on and every 10 secs or so. then i watched the vid. guess i'll know in real life when i get the 4b11T with the 2011 buy

 

yup, you're fine. lift up on that black cover with the mivec logo if you like, then touch one of the gray injector electrical connectors and you should feel it pulse in rhythm with the clicking you hear. there's your source. totally normal.

 

yea i just noticed this also but im wondering why i havent noticed it until now....its not a very smooth engine either...sounds like a diesel idling....

 

yeap! but mine's not that noisy. After I turn of the engine I could hear clicks like someone clicking a mouse below my car =p (it's cute!)

 

Yeah I thought it was mine too....but it sounds like something is loose or something but I'm glad I'm not the only one...seems like something is going to break down.
