I want to see what Thule systems plug into the sportback roof. The brochures say 'plug in adapters' are in the roof... Or am i mis-interpreting it?
If you go to the thule site and say 'lancer sportback' it says 'no applications'...
Need links please.

Mitsubishi sells the rack and then the attachements for skis/boards/bikes whatever
You can buy just the rack that bolts to the roof from mitsubishi and yakimi sells attachments for it.
Mitsu rack $255 from mitsubishiparts.net: http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=739

No problem, been doing the same research for my personal sportback.
I'm currently trying to find the part # for the little covers that I showed in the photo above.
I didn't put one back on all the way I guess and it flew off the car at some point. It looks REALLY bad without that cover btw.

Sorry for bringing up and old thread but I wanted to show what the OEM rack looks like as I could not get any good pictures from
.
Motor Trend has a couple of pictures on their site so I thought I'd link it for others to see.

That is the Thule rack. I know because I have the thule rack for mine and it's exactly the same minus the mitsubishi logo.
I bet you could save money purchasing the thule branded one.

I went with Thule, and they had brackets for every model mitsubishi and they look great. I'll upload pics later......Thule is definetly a great buy. I have used it for my surfboards (as many as 3 so far) and as many as 6 snowboards. Very convienient

^Yep!
Great fit/very solid.
I just need to figure how to make them more quick install/remove (the kayak saddles look ugly) so i just need the racks on the weekends...
I am thinking wing bolts for the attachments to the car vs. the hex key head bolt and nut...
Does anyone else have a better solution? Ugly is okay - because they are temp on the car i.e if the THULE fancy cover no longer fits - i don't care...

Just visit the dealers. Mine down in Huntington beach always hooks me up and let's me put them on the car and try Em out before I buy them. Have the straight rack for surf, and the 3x slanted for snowboards. Dunno about kayaks though
I contribute that to the Thule ski/board racks that are much bulkier (fit more) and that I don't have a fairing with my Thule rack but I did on my Yakima.
Both setups:

Yakima on Evo:
