yep thats due to increased load on the engine.

Since we are kind of on the subject. I actually had my car cut off once while at idle with the A/C blasting. It cranked right back up but at idle with max A/C the car acts like it is going to cut off. Anyone else with this problem???

I really don't understand y you r complaining about your fans turning on. Did you ever stop and think maybe it's a good thing? I wish I could have my fans on a five min timer so that when I was done driving they would turn on and cool wverythind down under my hood Heat is not a good thing so the more I can control it the better.

Engine load to this extreme due to the A/C is not a good thing. I wonder the horsepower loss under such loads, 10-20%? Added stress and load to the engine would surely lessen the life of the car. I know the reasons as to when and why the ECU determines to turn on the fans, there is too much heat generated under the hood. Poor cooling and heat dissipation is the root cause from the poorly designed front fascia that resembles the n/a Lancer than a Evo.

It's almost 20% hp loss to spin that compressor wheel. The clutches in the ac compressor are very heavy. Also if you go WOT the compressors cuts off anyways. Every car is similar.

lol are you for real. the load variation at idle is less then 200 rpm.

Moreso, any retard looking to race with his A/C on full blast needs to buy another Honda.

Does your AC also make a lot of noise? If I'm driving in city traffic, I can actually hear the AC unit, it's that loud.
