AMS Tranny Cooler

pretty cool gadget my temp gauge in my car stays at 1/3 at all times especially in +30 c weather but its a freaking loud *** thinggggg!!!! i dunno why its so damn loud...but i always got my music pounding

You should try to get an inline switch for the fan. That way you can just flip it on when you need it.

Definitely would not recommend a switch. The transmission needs cooling even under regular loads, not just when you are driving it hard. Turning the transmission cooler off for any reason just sounds like a recipe for disaster (a.k.a. footing the bill for a new transmission).

I don't think disabling the fan during light/normal driving will cause any problems. The OEM cooler does not have a fan and it is smaller and less efficient than the AMS cooler. The fan will certainly help keep trans temps in check under demanding conditions.

yeah i got a switch for it but its been hot all week and my work is 45 minutes outside the city so i leave it at all times...but its quite loud but there is nothing i can do about it....cool gig tho i like it =)
