Soo... Fully loaded Ralliart or base Evo GSR
Im debating for my future purchase. I can afford either a fully loaded Ralliart (36k) in Canada, or a base Evo X GSR (41k).
Which would you pick if you were in my situation and why?

I just went through the same dilemma 2 months ago, and choose the RalliArt SportBack. The EVO for all intents and purposes is a track car. I personally wanted a DD with *****, and it was quite easy to mod to the point where I have the same output (if not slightly more) as the EVO (and I've only just done the basics, the potential of this 4B11T is awesome!!)
Sit down and decide what your intentions are with the car. I love having the trunk space, plus I this time around I wanted a car with all the bells and whistles (I work hard damn it, and I deserve some happiness in my life :P)
Either way, I'm sure you will be happy!! Good luck!

In terms of maintenance... i know the tires usually go first, but i would get longer lasting ones for DD duties.
The costs i listed are before any delivery and taxes etc... 2011 ralliart in canada:
31798.00 base (no recaros, no hids)
4200.00 premium package (leather recaros, hids, 6 disc cd changer, rockford system, sunroof, FAST keyless system)

if u get to the track im pretty sure the SST will overheat.. that of course can be solved with an additional SST cooler.
i say Ralliart is good enough if ure not tracking ..
when u hit the track thats where all the differences surface..
- suspension, narrow tires
- inferior power (assuming both stock map)
- SST transmission vs MT
if u know ull hit the track often and u know u want more than 320 whp some day ...
EvoX is the way to go
otherwise, the leather and the navi are sexyy =)

i would never let someone drive my car especially gf/wife
thats why i bought her an SUV..
I think too many people over-exaggerate "track car"
Yes the Evo X is an amazing track car, but that doesn't mean an RA is a bad one.
Evo X > RA on the track. But if you're going to go with that argument, what's better than an Evo X as a track car? The ladder of ranks will just keep going. You have to remember some people track some really odd, old cars.
it's like the argument some journalists have made that the Evo X is a better buy than a GT-R. Is the GT-R faster? of course, but they both accomplish the role of "go fast, tons of grip, advanced technology, driving excitement" - just one does it for a fraction of the price (or in your case, with added luxury options added)
I'm not saying get the RA or get the Evo X, it's just up to your opinion how much you'd like the luxury features in comparison to going from "trackable" to "track machine" with an Evo. I think people are exaggerating the RA as a non-performance vehicle. It still is one.

go for the evo, when it comes down to it, u have will have w.e u need for future modding. If you get into tracking your car you will regret buying a RA because the RA will need coolers, bigger brakes, wider set of wheels(smaller fenders so rolling and pulling may be necessary). In the end i would say if you have the money go for it because the luxuries can be purchased in the future when you get more money.
