too bad this turned into a heated pissing battle. I want to say one thing, I drove both the MR and the RA before I made my decision, the only thing I liked more about the MR was the suspension

to the evo guys, sorry your head is so far up your ***. remember we are in the same family.

The Mitsubishi family. *thumbsup*

Might have changed something for the 2010, I had way the 09 model year. And occasionally it would buck on acceleration and it would be borderline dangerous for left turns imo.

EDIT: when something goes wrong in your SST. The bill won't be pretty thats for sure.

Not everyone is looking for the most race-car like car they can find.

Just this week I got a Touring for DD use. It has great gas mileage if you drive in Normal getting 230+ miles per tank, great ergonomic seats, decent trunk size, insurance is not bad im 40 yrs old, automatic, excellent brakes, excellent handling, respect HUGE potential for later fun too.

you see, everything you want and more in an EVO. EVO FTW

ya kno dont let all these evo drivers fool u, just about everyone here had the same options to buy a evo or ralliart, i the same. I had my choice and i chose mine based on my needs. The gf/wife needed to be able to drive it, IT IS A DD, and i wanted a powerful sports car. I got all that in the RA. And all this bull**** evo owners keep saying oh its not as powerful get an evo is ****. I have the same engine, i have the same turbo, i have the same tranny, what makes me different to you. If anything you mine as well get an RA start small and when you are ready you can build the car to what you want. Which is just like any other guy would do. And to say you would have to spend all this money to get the same satisfaction as an evo is also bull****. Evo turbo 450, fmic/licp/uicp 120, misc piping 200 +/-, bpv 100, exhaust manifold 150, downpipe 100.......doesnt really seem to bad to me. Only thing your missing out on and paying for in buying the evo is larger brakes and the suspension. But again do what you feel you need. I can already see the flames coming since i kno i pissed off someone , we are the same family some of you guys need to grow the hell up and chill the hell out about this im better then you cuz i drive an evo ****. If i really wanted to be faster i could swipe my credit go into a ton of debt and put a fp red on here and a clutch pack and call it a day. But since my rant is coming to an end....cant we all just get along!

Were you running some kind of non-factory basemap or was your car dyno-tuned? Bucking on acceleration sounds like something might have been wrong with your tune rather than a tranny problem...

I'm on your side bud, but the part where you said that you have "the same turbo" just isn't true unless you've done an Evo X turbo swap.

yep same turbo indeed! i bought it from a guy on here that went red, just wish people would sift through the bull**** and ignorant people to get a true answer and not just post something like....."oh go evo". What a childish response that is without having some kind of knowledgeable support to back that up to how this vehicle is going to be used.

so, you are basically saying the evo and ralliart are the same except for suspension and brakes? I don't think so.
Anyways, back on topic... I think the OP already said the evo is not an option any more, so get the ralliart

Im really enjoying reading these posts from both sides. Keep them coming

The Evo I ruled out, but i read that in terms of city use...which is what i use my car for... the MPG difference is only 2 or 3 depending on how much boost you use. Its more becoming a trade off of Ralliart (HIDs, sunroof, Rockford system, leather recaros) vs Evo (manual tranny, 300 ft lbs, 291 hp, wide body, enkei rims, YAW control)... tough choice.

ya see unfortunately you need to get the fanboyism outta ur system, sorry hoss your car and mine are one in the same! like i already explained. Yet again another childish answer, suspension, brakes, and a chassis made of aluminum. All that separates our cars! thats where that extra penny comes from that they made you pay to get that extra badge on ur car that made you wet yourself when you spent all that money on your car. Not starting a flaming match but just look at it from the obvious perspective. And asking between getting a mazda 3 and a ralliart on a mitsu forum......well i would hope you would kno what the majority answer would be. Hint not mazda!

ok buddy chill out for a minute, first of all, I own an evo 9, not 10. Totally different from both the 10 and ralliart. And then please let me educate you a bit. Aluminum chassis? wow, where you get that from? the evo doesn't even have a "chassis" it's a monocoque body contruction made of steel, not aluminum.
And since you are the one that's obviously upset ( buyers remorse perhaps?) then I will end the discussion right here. The ralliart is a tuned up lancer, NOT a detuned evo.
Have a good day.

Ralliart also runs on more of an evo ix suspension platform and awd system. Im not gonna choose sides here but look wise... its far from the same. The overall stance just looks difference, which is probably due to the fenders and widened body. And to antiblitz, id choose an ms3 over a ralliart all day long.
