bit of a problem

So, just about 20 minutes ago I'm omw to work in the fast lane on the highway cruising at about 80km and all of a sudden I have no power. Look at the dash my asc light is on, engine light on and the picture of the car with swerve marks stating service required. I pulled over turned the car off an on. Car works fine but engine light still on. Rpms were spiking from 800 to 1500. I took. Video while I could I will be heading to the dealer after work, hopefully the engine light is still on. Any suggestions on what this could mean? If need be ill up load the video later tonight.

CEL light= problem somewhere.

Check all vacuum hoses. These cars like to have them pop off and cause all sorts of fun issues

I made it to the dealer. Took a half day off work. They determined it was a DTC P1241 code. Referred to TSB. They reprogrammed my MFI. Nothing major they said to me.

Is this accurate.?

let me guess, you were part throttle cruising and went to accelerate so the car bucked slightly and the light kicked on and threw you into limp mode. symptoms went away after you turned the car off but the light stayed on? happens quite a bit, the reflash should help, but may not be the end solution. do you have an hks valve on the car?

Thats exactly what happened. I do not have an HKS valve. Car is stock. The dealer reflashed the car. Everything is fine for now

Is this problem common with HKS BOVs?

The GST boost pill might be looking better all the time...

it's a maf sensor related code that happens when you are cruising at highway speed because the bpv is usually not seated very well since you are pretty much right around that threshold between vacuum and boost, so when you go to accelerate and the car tries to build boost it comes back up through the partially open bpv and creates that "flutter" effect and all kinds of issues with the turbo inlet air flow and so the maf freaks out and puts the car in limp mode. it's typically more prevalent with the hks valves, but apparently is happening with stock valves as well

*these statements have not been evaluated by the food & drug administration, blah, blah. i'm not sure if this is exactly the cause for the issue, i'm sure there are other factors involved and i'm just not explaining it very well, but it's the best, most logical reasoning i could come up with and transfer from my brain to text*

Damn it, my -10 RA has been problem free until today, which seemed to be a really bad day for her. She's got 7300km under the belt.

First, on the highway, while doing a steady 110km/h, it suddenly went into limp mode, lost power and I had to pull over. Service engine soon - text appeared, ASC turned off. I turned off the car, waited a bit, and back on again. Idle was very erratic, pumped between 500..1000rpm, wouldn't rev any higher or steadily. Turned off/on once again and everything was normal, except the engine light remained lit. In the evening, when I used the car again, the light didn't light up anymore, and the car worked fine.

In the evening, however, in the first corner the AWD warning light came on, and again a service notice. ASC remained off, and it was really slippery on the roads, and I had to drive her like a baby.

Tomorrow she's going to the dealer, but why so many problems in one day? And no real issues, it just seems like a bunch of random error codes?

this would also be a good time to check your relays to see if they've been updated to the latest versions. you should have 3 blue relays in the box as well as one larger gray relay in the back corner. yet another reason the car could be tripping limp-in mode
