Mine did that for a little while when I first put on my Evo X Bov too, until the car "learned" the new setup and after a few days the problem resolved itself.

ECU rev record

Was looking on here to see what the rev limit on 2010 RA is because my car is currently at the dealer. They fixed a transmission leak (was the trans filter housing) and they noticed a knocking coming from the oil pan. They said a Mitsu rep had to come down to verify they are allowed to open it up and find the issue. Long story short, the dealer told me that the ECU keeps a record of how high the rev's get too. Said mine got to 6900 at some point. Said the Mitsu rep didn't make a big deal or seem concerned. Said 6900 is near the limit of Mitsu not covering anything under warranty. Just thought I'd let you guys know that the ECU keeps a record of the rev's and seems that the rev limiter will let it go higher than thought.

Yes, rev limit is 6800rpm. It could easily tap 6900 bouncing off the fuel-cut rev limiter.

And I think the GST basemaps raise the rev limiter to somewhere in 7000+ range. I guess all of us who have downloaded the basemaps are screwed if we have a problem and Mitsubishi is deciding whether they will fix it under warranty based on how high the RPM's have gotten.

Also, just a note that while the GST basemap tunes do have a raised rev limiter, you'll only appreciate this raised limit if you drive in manual mode, as in auto mode the TCU makes the decisions to shift for you, and will assume it has the standard 6800RPM limit in place and will shift before it hits that.
