Yeah exact reason why the exhaust shop needed to re-weld the exhaust to clear the driveshaft. Didn't want to stuff around with bending hangers etc. Your lucky your in the states and can take it back to DC sports. I'm in Australia so shipping it back would have cost me a fortune.

Totally agree with you guys DC did a **** poor job with this exhaust. Definitely needs to be modified to fit properly......, sounds absolutely amazing though!!!!

I'm looking to buy a cat back system next spring after getting some ExtremeContact DWS tires first and taking care of the crappy stock tires.. I was looking at the DC Exhaust, but I'm seeing all the issues, I'm defenitley going to stay away from the DC Sports Exhaust.

I'm a guy with not a ton of car and mechanical knowledge in general so i'm just going with a K & Filter, exhaust and tune..What do guys suggest are the top couple exhaust that are priced well and have a nice, throaty, growling sound that are not insanely loud? I was looking at the Borla and seeing they are around a 1000..How are the ultimate racing and Magnaflow? Any recommendations on a good sounding exhaust that doesn't cost over 900 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good idea I like putting something on and being right the first time. Having to stuff around after is annoying.

Maybe contacting an exhaust shop and getting a custom set up done could be cheaper than buying one of the brand items.

TBE are $1000, but a simple cat-back is ~$600-700 from "major companies". Buying the $500 DC Sports, while might seem appealing, will cost you far more in frustration alone.

I personally have a magnaflow cbe, and I love it.

No fitment issues, definitely not as loud as the UR, but still opens up nicely.

True that, guess I had to do it the hard way All up I love the sound of the exhaust and worth all the mucking about

Well no more noises... the clunk sound was my springs so have just taken them out stuck in my stock ones and save up for coil overs.

Dc works for me

Hi (my first post)
I bought the DC catback system this summer and had no issues of it banging the car, it is very well cleared from the drive shaft.
How is that ?
For me it was a good buy, the noise level is low but with a dark tone.
However after running it for two month I notice it being louder. Hope this does not increase any more.

My buddy said theres a break in period for exhausts. The sounds will become a little louder and the exhaust note will become more pronounced.

I suggest as well to check the bolts and seals every so often to make sure everything is tight and snug.

Also check the heat shields over the exhaust (under trunk) and over the cat if the sound get louder.

Not sure that I agree with this. If you keep your exhaust bolted up tightly, the sound should get lower over time, not louder.

+1.

On a few cars that i've done exhausts on they became more 'tame' about 2 weeks later. My RA after adding a test pipe was quite loud, after about 1,000kms it toned down quite a bit.
