Gauges

I'm looking to install a boost gauge, transmission gauge, and a wideband gauge in my ralliart on the a pillar. Do you gouys prifer using electic or mechanical gauges with these 3. I will be using auto meter gauges. Also if anyone has and pics of how they installed their gauges that would be great if you could post them. Thanks!

For boost do mechanical, the other 2 definitely electric. Any autometer electric gauge will come with the sending unit as well.

Wideband is pretty much going to be electronic no matter what. The other two usually offer electrical sending units so you don't have to run hose/tubing across the car, yet they still have to use a mechanical source in one form or another to get their data. I highly prefer to run wires instead of hoses since a broken wire means a gauge won't work, where a broken hose could mean a vacuum leak and engine damage.

For readouts, I personally prefer the analog gauges because when scanning multiple gauges, it's easier for me to just check needle position vs. having to read 3 separate numbers that are constantly changing. The digitals offer more bling-factor, but I'd rather be safe than awesome.

I have a rexpeed A-pillar (2 pod) with boost and afr. I didn't see a 3-pod, but then again I was looking for a 2-pod, lol. Fitment is.... acceptable. Better than my Metra dual-din dash kit

Why did you start two threads about this? One thread per forum is enough.

I also have the record 2 pod and agree it is just acceptable. The finish doesn't match. I'm going to wrap it so it doesn't look out of place anymore.
