Which HFC?
Which HFC?
Looking for everyones input that have HFC installed. I am looking for one that does not give off any gas smell inside the car. I have kids that ride in the car so I dont want any gas smells inside the car. Which ones are you guys running that will accomplish this if any, i eventually want to go to the GST basemap+tbe. Right now Im on stock tune with evo x intercooler, licp, and depo uicp.
Yes that is the restriction point and its the same brand i know a girl with a ralliart that gutted out her cat and exhaust instead sounds sick too and runs fine with a road tune though
Depo Racing has a good one. I use it, and had the same requirement you did. I have a 3 week old son in the car, so not taking any chances.
$200
- 3" Stainless Steel Hi-flow Cat, why go test pipe, this will give you all the flow but not the gas smell...great for the street and weekend track days, why go test pipe.
- 200 cell metal substrate Catalytic converter. 100 cell is to close to a test pipe, no bebefit. 300 cell is more restrictive. 200 is just right...
- Efficient for 500+ whp
- Extended bung prevents Cels, Even pass inspection in some states
- Bolts up to stock or aftermarket exhaust

I have been running the Ultimate Racing HFC for about 1 year/20k+ miles with no problems.
I have ran the Cobb Stage 2 the majority of time and also reflashed the OEM tune driving that way as well with no CEL's.
I have the interior fuel smell that seems to plague Evolutions and Ralliarts, but from my research/experience it is not exhaust related unless there is a leak.
Mitsubishi has other fuel emission vent issues they are not admitting...yet.
