EVO or RA?

And so the mighty lords of Top Gear spoke and I quote, "So it would seem that steroid abuse can sometimes be a good thing. Mitsubishi has pumped the Ralliart Lancer full of the stuff like there's no tommorrow and it's come away with muscles on its muscles, but its ***** haven't shrunk at all."

Thought he just test drove it against the STI, and yes, he drove circles around the STI. I've probably watched this episode 100+ times.

But I recall as much as he liked the X, he fell in love with the GTR shortly after, and hurt his neck.

The last time a did a check on this (cut through the usual BS sites, like Wikipedia) and he had or has owned a 2008 Evolution X GSR, Ford GT, Mercedes 600 Grosser, Mercedes CLK AMG Black, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Volvo XC90, TDV8 Range Rover, Mercedes SL600 (purchased for show). There were others. Those just stuck out to me. I might be wrong about that. Every website seems to have things to say about this.
Have you ever driven one? It is an out-of-body experience if you are allowed to really let her have it. The dealer had his hand firmly welded to the "oh-****' handle when the test was over. It is the must fun that you can have for less than $100k. Nothing compares.
The gtr is a rediculous machine, though rightly priced compared to the exotic cars that on par with its performance.
Id still stick with a modified evo over the gtr. Just so I can say I can keep up with the gtr
which again for the price the evo isn't that bad at all, JUST THE INTERIOR is pretty much the same as the DE lancers.....
No way. The GT-R is a different class of vehicle. You couldn't spend your way from a stock Evolution to a GT-R. The GT-R is geared differently, the weight is differently balanced, the transmission is WAY better, the driving position is totally different, the experience at high speed is totally different. There is just no way to compare the two cars.
Kinda like if money wasnt a factor.
LFA>GTR
Same argument.
I would buy two RA if I had money for 40-50k evo.
I really like how LFA sounds & the way it was design & engineered.
Really nice machine. (only in my dreams, stupid alarm always wake me up)
On the contrary, the formula hasnt changed much for AWD+Turbo.
like this GTR for instance...

until Veyron spends another 1/4 million on his upgrade. :P

That way if you blow it up you can go back to your more reliable DD power setup.

or I would get another RA sportback for DD.

For now, I'll say to those who have only lightly modded their RA and an find an Evo without breaking the bank (insurance + monthly car note), I'd consider the Evo. For someone who's dropped a few grand in modding the RA, like myself or sstevojr, it's a little harder to justify the trade. I've enjoyed modifying the components that set the Evo and RA apart to my own spec. For now, I'll close my eyes and pretend like I've got S-Sport and AYC, at least until someone can train the RA TCU to enable S-Sport.
The GTR is a marvel... the amount of thought that has gone into it is amazing. They change the spring rates of the springs in the front depending if it's LHD or RHD. They are the same for both sides on the Evo.
With that being said, last I heard it's ~$20k to get a rear differential replaced. Maintenance $$ amounts are insane. I'll stick with the Evo.

Just dont honk at me with those girlie horn. meep meep*

I think I would still make a 1500whp RA if money wasnt a factor.
More of a underdog surprise. Im sure if you dump 1/4 million or more into any car it can do the impossible things.
LFA was just hypothetical remark.
Will I buy LFA, not a chance in hell.
Will I even drive an LFA, doubt it.
Do I want to own a LFA, never. lol.
I rather buy a house with lift in a garage.

It does sound nice. too bad it is still a rwd.
