And yes, I would absolutely buy it in Lime Green. It is either that or A-Hole Orange.

i'm sorry, if looking at lambo's and i had bottomless pockets, it would have to be a matte black Aventador. It's impossible for me to deny the silliness that comes with a car that looks like a stealth fighter AND shoots blue flames out the exhaust during WOT like it has afterburners, in stock trim!

For the pure insanity of the full package, it has to be the Aventador for me.

Back on topic:
For someone who's dropped a few grand in modding the RA, like myself or sstevojr, it's a little harder to justify the trade.
Bingo! I was halfway to signing papers, but they wouldn't offer me a fair price for my car (the most highly desired of the Ralliart's, 2010 Sportback w/ Recaro/HID/Navi/RF/etc). They offered less than their sister store by $5g's Plus they wouldn't sell me the car I really wanted, an SE.
That's when I said "f this nonsense, f these guys, I'm halfway to too far....let's go the rest of the way"

or

New 2011 RA for 24k

The RA is a lot cheaper so thats why I was looking at it but I dont know my heart still says EVO EVO EVO. Money is kinda tight that's why I need some advice on what you guys think.

First off, realistically you're looking at more like $32k+ and $26k+ respectively plus tax, title, licence. That's assuming you get a killer deal on base model packages.

Secondly if you can afford the extra 8-10k or $200 a month, then go for the evo! But if that's pushing the budget, or you just want to save some money, you can easily get a RA to the 300WHP mark with about $2500 in bolt on's and a tune.

Also some things to consider beside the obvious performance and cost increase. The Evo X doesn't have 60/40 folding seats. The washer fluid and battery are in the trunk. So you lose trunk space and the ability to fold the back seats down. Keep that in mind if trunk space is something that's important to you. Additionally, the Evo X has a much tighter suspension with the MacPherson struts. This is awesome for performance, but not so comfortable for a daily driver. Finally, base package GSRs and MRs include the Recaros, where as the Ralliart doesn't have them by default. That's an additional package option for the RA.

Everyday I wish I would have gotten the premium package when I bought my car because of the Recaros...

Given the state of the economy (assuming your in the us) as well as gas prices; go with what is more comfortable for your budget... The last thing that you want is a REPO on your record, then you wont have anything...

Based on this, I guarantee that you will regret getting the Ralliart. Even if you do mod it to the same power level as an EVO X or beyond, it still won't say "Evolution" on your trunk.

You wrote that you "Loved" the EVO since 03; buying anything less will never make that type of WANT go away. Wait if you have to; just leave the RA's alone.

If every time your thought process of purchasing of an RA starts with:

1) I really want an EVO but...
2) Well, it is cheaper than an EVO...
3) I bet I can mod it to be faster than an EVO...
4) They sell this body kit that'll turn that into an EVO...
5) It looks really close to an EVO

notice how these never have you think of the RA independent from an EVO? When it's this bad... the decision should not be that difficult.

Edit* I love my RA and did not purchase it as a band-aid to a wound that only an EVO can heal. The two cars offer different enough aspects of prestige, convenience, pricing, and capabilities to cancel one out in your hunt for either one.

If you can get a new Evo for 29k otd. go for it.
If you can get a new RA for 24k & cant afford 29k evo & plan to mod in the future, RA is a great platform. All depends on how much are you willing to pay for extra "performance'.

I dont reget not getting the evo. The more i mod the more irrelevant it becomes.

Biggest thing you will notice is bigger turbo, brakes, suspension, & plenty of driver assists like S-AWC & AYC. but if you're going to mod the evo for suspension is it kinda of a waste to spend that "extra money".

As far as modding goes on the RA.
Motec offer something similar to AYC.
Active/Magnetic suspension can be made for the RA.
We now know (Thanks to NFSLancerRA) RA can use 6 pistons calipers & 4 pistons in the rear.

I love my Ralliart for its AWD+Turbo. I dont regret not getting an EVO.
Im actually thankful I didnt get an EVO. :P

Off-topic but kinda relevant arguement.

I would get the new NSX over EVO & keep my RA . :P
The same price range.

I would say go with an evo if you have the cash and you want a car that needs little to no aftermarket upgrades to be an awesome car.

However if you do not want to spend the cash upfront and you want a fun car with a good dual clutch I would go with a ralliart.
