Get the Evo if it's on your mind. I settled on the RA and that was a mistake. I was planning on what I wanted to do with it as far as upgrading the turbo and whatnot and thought "If I spend $3k on parts, it'll get me around Evolution numbers." The Evolution was always on my mind, so I pulled the trigger and traded in the Ralliart for the Evolution (while taking a hit on the trade).

I've had the Evo for two months now and the only thing I changed was the shift knob. My plans for modding it can wait. I think the Evo is way more enjoyable than the Ralliart even without modding it.

EVO > RA.
I was actually looking for a 2011+ since I hear it is night and day between the two.

But decided for now that I don't want to take the huge financial hit from going to from the gsr to the mr.
The 2011 MR is actually not too bad but I wanted the GSR.

The Evolution is worth it. I owned one of the most heavily modified Ralliarts that has ever been. I loved the car. I had a new turbo, ridiculously large brakes, fuel system upgrades, suspension...everything. My GSR is so much more composed and so much more powerful that it isn't even worth comparing the two.

Unless you want a hatch like me! Then your only option is the RalliArt. I honestly test drove both. A GSR and well I have the Ralli. I got the recaro package so my interior is the same as an evo. Sadly my top end of the power band is **** compared to an Evo. Driving around town is still plenty fun because our Turbo spools up so fast. I am looking into doing the evoX Turbo swap and buying used parts from the awesome members on these forums. I got my Ralliart for 26800 brand new after taxes. After upgrades I would estimate a total cost of 30,000 or less is what it should cost me after the Evo X swap with again buying mainly used EvoX parts. Good luck on your purchase. The RalliArt is not a bad option.

My name is Jazket (a previous Ralliart owner) and I approve this message.

Completely different cars man. The Ralliart feels like a super tuned lancer gts... the Evo is a COMPLETELY different animal. The mere fact of sitting inside the cockpit knowing you are about to drive an Evo changes everything!

Dude, just get the Evo. You have been deliberating on this for quite some time. White Bear Lake Mitsubishi actually has a decent price on their 2012 GSR's. Go onto Auto Trader and look at the pages and pages of 2011's still available. The RA is nice, but in the end, you will be kicking yourself for not getting the Evo and having to mod the car just to equal the performance of a stock Evo.

Just wait until your cash flow get a little better and the Evo, don't put yourself in a the poor house for it though. And don't get something you don't that you will be paying for and wishing that you should have waited.
