i'm currently lowered on H&R springs. They claim a 1.5" drop up front and 1.4" out back. Of the drop springs I've used on the Lancer chassis (2 different drop springs on a Lancer GTS and then these on my RA), I'd have to say these are the best ones I've used.

HOWEVER, with that said, if I had to do it all over again, I would just save up for coilovers. This is mainly because you loose suspension travel w/ drop springs, which makes them feel excessively stiff when you have passengers. The shocks are also not valved properly for the shorter travel/higher rate springs. So, the rear of the car has a lot of motion on high speed bumps.

Best to worst options:

Coil overs:

Springs:

Lower profile tires

Lots of heavy items in car, such as but not limited to sub boxes, bricks, fat chicks, etc...

Let air out of tires.

Going with airbags or hydraulics is another way to go.

Fat Chicks could end up costing more then coilovers in the long run. Food ain't cheap!

Swift springs. Not for people who want to slam their car, but they perform so much better than stock.

I've got the pro kit. The ride quality honestly has not changed, it's still a comfortable ride with less body roll. With that said, at times I wish it was another .5" lower but I love the ride quality the way it is.

I lowered mine on the eibach sportline, about 2 up front and 1.8 in the back. Rides still great.

I'm on Swift springs too. Bosssman is right in that the drop is very mild, but it's enough to get you a nice look and get a bit of performance.

With that said, I'm looking into coilovers atm. Only because I want to go a tad bit lower and I'd rather do that with coilovers rather than lower springs.

Whats a good brand of coilovers to go with and relative price range? I want quality and dont want generic Ebay junk but still not break the bank.

Any links or advice would be helpful thanks. its an 05 Evo GSR
