Soo.. are we supposed to have drls?
no ... if you read the DRL list closely you'll see the Canadian cars all have DRLs.

I have progressive and pay 140 a mont full coverage. It depends on where you live. If I were to pay the rate for where im going to college ( I use my parents address) it would be another 25-40 a month bc its a city. and i have DRL on my 2010
First of all, insurance rates can depend on your coverage and deductibles. So if you pay too much for insurance, call your company and ask about removing excessive and expensive coverage, or changing your deductibles. When I bought my Lancer GT brand new they gave me an endorsement for full replacement in case of a total loss, but they never removed it when it got older, so my insurance kept climbing until I called them and asked why my premiums went up every renewal. Turns out I had to call them especially to remove that. You can also ask to add an endorsement to remove glass coverage with exceptions to vandalism and acts of god. Most window replacement will cost less than your deductibles, so it's pointless to have that coverage. Lancer windows are not expensive, even the dealer rain sensing ones.
I used to work for insurance claims bureaus, so take my advice or leave it. I wasn't a salesman, but I know the windows are cheap to replace.
But on topic, I noticed that my GT's DRLs wouldn't turn on until I was in gear. So I thought the car had no DRL until I parked in front of a boutique and saw my headlights in the window's reflection. So if you think you don't have DRLs and you should have them, don't check it out right after turning the ignition, put it in gear first or something.
Now I have a RA with Recaro package and it's HID with good old yellow DRLs.
Edit: Just forgot to mention, getting married is the best way to reduce insurance premiums. I got a reduction of at least 40% when I told my insurance "I want to add my wife to the policy". It's no wonder the gay and lesbian community want the right to be married. Discounts man... discounts.
