Nose Ring - Broken

Hey Everyone,

New guy here so excuse me if I am going about this the wrong way.

My friend and I were working on taking off the chrome nose ring for the good ol Plasti-Dip treatment and the nose ring broke.

Can your guys help with some suggestions on where I can get a replacement?

I understand I could always attempt to repair with Plastic epoxy, but if I can replace for cheap, I would like that route (Less Work).

Thanks.

Bad news, the nose ring is not cheap. I was involved in a minor rear end accident that broke my chrome ring an scuffed my front bumper. I went into a national repair shop and had it repaired. The chrome ring is not currently made by anyone but Mitsubishi. List price was around $380, i was able to get it for a discount around $280 because i was having other body work done. I have no idea why it is that expensive , it's not even real chrome just painted plastic.

Yeah I've had a piece broken off of mine for a while now. I don't want to spend 300 bucks for a nose ring.

Someone really ought to come up with a BLACK aftermarket nose ring. I know I would have liked it if I could have found an inexpensive Black replacement nosering rather than spending the money(I paid someone to do it for me) to take off my factory nosering, plasti-dip it black, and then reinstall the dumb thing.

I have found a nose ring/grill combo on eBay Motors/parts claiming it will fit the Ralliart, but it just doesn't look right, it says the seller is in Hong Kong and they say no returns...its $120. Looks a bit sketchy for me though. Anyone have experience with that part??

$280 is too expensive, I am leaning towards taking it off myself again, and using the plastic epoxy and doing a lot of sanding to repair...& then paint. Far better than $280.

I guess it's all about perspective, $280 is a lot not buy when I'm driving around in a near $30,000 car I'd rather not take chances with knock off eBay parts. If you can fix it yourself that's the best option, just wasn't the case for me.

I think I've seen those to. I didn't think they looked quite right either. Its up to you, but I wouldn't chance it.

I wouldn't trust it. I've bought some parts off eBay (when I had a tC) and they were nothing but half a$$ parts. Nothing fit and everything had poor material.

It's cause it was a Scion tC. Those cars are the cheapest made piles of junk I have ever driven or worked on.
