Dead DRL
Dead DRL
2009 Canadian RA,
I change the DRL bulbs to LED, it was working fine, but recently both LED bulb went all dead.
It's not the bulb, I took one of the LED bulb out and change back to old bulb - nothing.
I checkd/changed the fuse (10A - #11 fuse in the engine compartment), the fuse was fine.
I checked the power for the bulb with a multi-meter, no power. Anyone has a clue as to what is wrong?
Thanks

Pretty sure it's not the fuse. I exchange the fuse with another 10A. The relays.. I have tested all the blue and black by exchanging them around. I have not been able to test the big grey relay because there is not a another grey relay to exchange.
Anyone know which relay is for the DRL, is it the big grey one? I going to have to figure out to test the grey relay. Can I use a test light to check it(dont have one)?
My other concern, is once this is fixed, will it happened again because I used LED bulbs.

I've been running these 18 LED DRL's for almost 8 months now, I was going through standard bulbs like every 3-6 months so that's the reason I switched. The Evo X and our cars put out 14v to the DRL so you need to find a good LED bulb that can support the voltage. The ones i linked to above are 10~30 VDC.
