Interior Rattle?
Hi everyone,
I have recently joined this forum as i have just bought a 09 Ralliart, so this is my first post, hope it isnt a waste of your time!
its done about 60 000kms (38 000mi) and still under warranty for another year or so, when i start the car i let it run for about a minute to let the fluids circle the engine, however when the care is in low rmp (any gear) i get this rattle which seems to be right infront of the passenger seat.
My mechanic rekons it could be the heat shield rattling before it expands, but he hasnt had a look at it yet..
has anyone else had this problem?

lol sounds just like my story. wouldn't be cool silver in colour would it?
Rattles, get used to them. Or turn the stereo up.
I'd investigate the interior, first thing i did with mine is pull of the door trim on the passenger side and reattach a loose wire clip, also there are specific screws that go into the door handle and mine where mis matched to where they were supposed to go.
Taping and tucking wires and stuff helps.
Otherwise, yeah these cars rattle

yeah I bashed the dash heaps, didn't work.
It's definitely cold weather that makes mine rattle.
If you look behind your glovebox there's heaps of wires. I taped up some of them and reduced the rattle, but it's hard to get rid of it all.
Do a search there's some really useful tips around.

One of the things you can't call this car is "refined" it will rattle in and out of the passgener cabin.
The only car I've had that rattled more was my 06 Lotus Elise, but you expect that from that car... it's a go cart.....

How do you take off the dash?
Hi everyone,
Ive had a rattle under the dash for too long now, so im finally putting aside a few hours this weekend to get around to it...
Problem is i cant find anywhere how to take off the dash, i know how to fit a gps but i dont think ill be able to get far enough to reach the components of the dash.
The rattle seems to stop when i bash the dash but doesnt seem to last, this is why i rekon the problem is in the cheap plastics of the dash...
PLEASE HELP!
Cheers in advance

it'll take more than a few hours I'd plan on spending most of the day to do it. I doubt there's a write up you're gonna have to feel your way through it.
but trim has to come off, the radio has to come out, instrument cluster, glove box, probably the center console, air bag, etc...
