Questions about Tactrix & ECU flashing
Questions about Tactrix & ECU flashing
Hello everyone,
Long time lurker & new member here.
I've had my 2009 Ralliart for about a year now, and I'm looking into flashing my ECU.
I've read the posts here about the Tactrix cable & ECUFLash, and I've downloaded some of the maps that razorlab so graciously provided for everyone.
My question is, is there a better/cheaper alternative to using the Tactrix cable & ECUFlash? I've heard of other cheaper cable & software solutions, and of course I could just take my car to a tuner. I live in Fort Worth so Cobb tuning in Plano is an option, although I'm sure that would be far more pricey than a 170 dollar Tactrix cable. Is there another good tuner you guys know of in DFW? I'm just looking for some direction & advice from some of you guys that have done this a time or 2 before.
Here's my setup:
2009 Ralliart:
Injen Upper Intercooler Pipe (Installed)
OEM Intercooler from a 2013 Evo GSR (Installed)
Lower Intercooler pipe from a 2013 Evo GSR (Installed)
AEM cold air intake kit (Installed)
AMS boost pill (NOT installed)
Thanks guys

If you are doing it yourself Tactrix is the way to go hands down. It gives you so much more options and control over your car then anything else than a COBB AP. Of course The best thing you could do is a pro tune because that revolves around what parts are on your car. If you cant afford that then go with tactrix.
If you read the thread on tactrix for dummies this will give you a good idea of all the amazing things that can be done with EVO Scan and ECU flash software. Also as far as doing it yourself tactrix is going to be the most bang for your buck by far and you get more from using that setup.
Hope this helps
