Hood struts changeover kit

Has anyone come across a kit to change from the stock hood prop configuration, to using gas struts? Curious if there is a kit out there and the price.

I bought some plain black ones off eBay about 2yrs ago for about $50. Haven't had a problem with them yet.

Thanks guys. Yeah I came across a decent looking set on eBay last night for about $65. I might go that route. It's probably going to be one of the next things I do.

They were an Oem set from a Porsche so they held up great, just to a little custom bracket to install them

I'd personally go with Tomioka and then Greddy (sorted by price). If you read through the threads regarding these, the socket connection tends to have discoloration/corrosion over time. Those two have black coatings to minimize this. Otherwise they're all pretty much the same with the same problems (moving bracket).

But in overall design, I think Tiens are the best.

Rexspeed have been known to be stiffer then most and better suited for the standard metal lancer hoods. One member taco'ed his hood pushing down to close it to fast. I wouldn't risk it.
