2013 ralliart oh my!
test drive complete!
So I got a chance to ride in the ralliart and my oh my what a fun car! The interior is excellent and the car has a great feel to all in all, plus the sports\normal mode on the tranny and also the three different traction settings for the awd! And thw stock exhaust sounds amazing! All in all i want this ralliart leather steering wheel as well! Its a amazing car.gope to have it soon
I bought my Stock Ralliart 2013 for 19k-17.5k w/ trade in of my prelude. With a price difference that big I will easily use what I would have spent on an evo (which was impossible anyway) and put towards the performance. 15k difference, that's a lot of mods. ^_^
I own a Ralliart that has a ton of upgrades. If I would have waited those upgrades would have bought me an EVO. The upgrades for the SST tranny are mind blowing expensive. However due to the amount of money I have spent I am stuck with the car now. I do love my car however if I had to go back no way in hell would I have bought a ralliart. Just simple mods and the evo just gets faster and faster. SST is a pain in the A** and the maintenance on it is far more expensive than the EVO. Also the EVO GSR is easier to maintain and upgrade because of the 1000s of parts made for it. No where near as many parts for the Ralliart. Like I said I would not get rid of my ralliart however I wish so bad I would have waited and got the EVO. Believe me when I say this when you start upgrading you will want more and more. Then it will come to a screeching halt when you see the differences between the Ralliart and Evo Gsr

I believe it's a preference.
If you're a hardcore modder, I'll go with EVO.
If you're not racing your car and have a great performance daily driven car, then I'll go with ralliart. If you're concern about fuel economy, Ralliart is more gas friendly than the EVO.
I have a Ralliart and my younger brother has an EVO X. So I know the difference. As far as power is concern, EVO X all the way. Still, never regretted getting a ralliart especially with my monthly insurance premium. Way better than my younger brother's.
Also, when you catch the mod bug which you will, if you're not gonna track your car then there's no point of modding it too much. Don't be one of those guys who likes street racing...

IF you want to do track events definitely get an EVO, the suspension and brake setup is hard to upgrade on the RA if you want to do mods in this area.
But if you just want a daily driver with practical advantages that can go fairly quick buy the RA.
The EVO is a race car, so it has advantages for racing at the expense of daily use convenience.
You can fold down the rear seats on the RA, but not on the EVO, this won't be a problem for a lot of people, but for me I occasionally need to move stuff and I need that extra boot space.
Turning circle - is a bit smaller than the EVO so it's easier to maneuver around carparks and do U turns etc.
Also fuel economy, because the RA has taller 5th and 6th gears than the EVO MR SST it's gets better range. If you get an EVO GSR with the 5spd manual you could drive around that a bit, but you will have no 6th gear for the highway.

I like the Ralliart I heavily considered it years before I got my X, but a 10k difference goes away quick when modding(Supension, Brakes, Turbo) add up really quick. If you plan on tracking, making big power and looking good get the X IMO the Ralliart looks too much like a Lancer too me

I like my car but I'm CONSTANTLY thinking about if/when the SST will sh*t the bed and then the cost of fixing it. I'm keep my Ralliart maybe two more years, MAYBE, then I'm getting a GSR. Buy once cry once. The start making REAL power.
This is the reason I went with the Ralliart as much I would love to say I own an EVO, the price of them was way too much. I just wanted a daily driver with some performance and this car was better than most cars I was interested in, plus I wanted AWD for winter as well.
I've got a '14 model, and it's been good so far, I love, love the SST shifting one of my favorite parts of the car(shame the transmission has a rep as being not durable), the car still looks good even if the current look is old. Power is good, though seems to be some lag at first, handling is great(for me at least), suspension; well its sport tuned so its a little stiff in some aspects, breaks are decent. Shift paddles is great as well.
Hope u enjoy ur car...
