UR Intake Question
UR Intake Question
So I know other members get bashed on here for not doing their research so I looked every where didn't see what I needed. So I know already even though Ultimate Racing said you don't need a tune that one will be needed. My question is who makes best tune for it? I also notice when installing there's really no kit to mount the wiring that's hanging I just wrapped it once around strut bar. Any other members have similar problems or have suggestions? Lastly there is not much room for that go snug in maybe 1/4 inch before you hit the sensor has anyone done any good extensions with UR SR Intake? The only reason I got UR is due I'm getting exhaust want to keep it one brand as much as I can so just hoping I can get some good suggestions. Thanks.
Unless you're upgrading the turbo? On these cars, with our stock turbos, All CAIs lose power over an aftermarket panel filter(not my op, it's dyno proven) plus you'll need a tune to manifest any of the benefits, so I guess it's relative to your future plans. Personally I'm not too impressed by UR stuff, especially UR stuff for the RA, but I'm sure somebody will wanna argue that..
Ive ran the UR intake for three years now with no issues. It took me about 10 minutes to install. I was immediately tuned after installing as well. You wont get any real power out of it but it does sound good when getting into boost. I now am running an aftermarket turbo but honestly cant tell you whether or not the intake actually yields any hp.

Since your in Maryland you should be close to CBRD for a custom tune.
Check out the Google Mitsubishi tuner map for others tuners in your area.
