Maintenance required light

Did a search but couldn't quite find this issue on the board so apologies if its been asked and answered. I'm fairly certain its not a 'scheduled maintenance' light.

Driving a stock 09 Ralliart. About a month ago a "maintenance required" image with the image a car with turned front axel showed up on the display. It went away after a bit. However, it returned a few days ago and will now not go away. I hooked up an OBD scanner to it and it doesn't show any fault codes. Anyone with any ideas? I read in a few spots about possible pump issues but not sure what to do next.

Check you owner's manual, it should have a list of what all the "symbols" mean.

Can you show a pic or describe better the image and message you're seeing?

Sounds like it might be the ACD? Check the fluid to be sure.

I think it might be the AWC fluid. Here is a shot of the symbol. I checked the levels in the trunk. They look low. I think it's ATF SP III fluid I need. Anyone confirm?

Did you do what I recommended in post #2?

Is your "Tarmac/Gravel/Snow" indicator let you change it still or is it no longer functioning? Your ACD pump might have kicked the bucket.

Hey Slee. Yes I did. It mentioned it had to do with the AWC. And no I can't change the settings anymore. I refilled the reservoir which was quite low but it didn't take the warning away.

Well, if your ACD pump did crap out, the good news is that Mitsubishi recently extended the warranty on that particular part to 10 years/100,000 miles.
