maintenance required light

I have an 08 gsr and it has the maintenance required light on. I bought the car from a popular used car dealership. The car has a lot of mods and I believe he traded the car in with a straight pipe which won't pass inspection here in utah. They have installed a new cat and O2 sensor and said I need to drive the car at least 100 miles straight in or for it to correct the maintenance light. Has anyone had this type of issue and is this the correct remedy? Your insights are appreciated.

Do you know the reason for the light being on? If not take it to a local parts store where they'll pull the OBD2 code for free, post it up and we'll be able to help from there. It's possible that it's for something besides the rear 02. When you get it pulled, the rear O2 normally throws p0140 or p0139

Copy that. I'm having it looked at at this moment. They are saying it could be the awc senor as well

Maintenance required light I thought was just for changing the fluids (OIL)?
