so I just bought my car about a month ago. has intake exhaust hard intercooler piping.. last night I hooked up wideband and boost gauge. surprised to see at peak i'm only at 16psi wide open then drops to about 10-11. it runs flawless. i'm doing some reading cuz i'm about to get a tune and i'm seeing maybe my car was tuned then taked back to stock tune and doesn't have the "pills" in it i'm reading about. I cant imaginge its a boost leak it just runs too good but I could be wrong.. has anyone had this issue that figured it out?

 

more likely it had a boost controller in it and it was swapped out for stock or just connected the wastegate and turbo to each other, which would be ~14.5 psi, good enough for a trade in

 

i'm hoping that's what its something simple like that and a tune takes care of it. thank you though

I won't know for another week.. I have an appointment for a tune at tpg Monday the 28th.. they did all the work to it for previous owner so i'm sure they know exactly what to do...

 

well got tuned today.. left with 339hp.. 28psi.. all fixed

 

What ended up being the reason it was only hitting 16 psi?

 

the restrictor pills in the vaccum lines where missing
