Fuel Pump for MHI 18k on E85

Hey guys! I decided on doing a MHI 18k bolt-on. I know I will need about an 1100cc injector, but TopSpeed is telling me that the AEM E85 320lph fuel pump won't suffice and won't give 10-20% headroom if I was making 450whp. They said I need a 455lph pump with 12v wiring and a fuel pressure regulator. With that being said, this added $1200 to the original estimate. Is it absolutely necessary or will the AEM E85 320lph or a similarly priced drop-in pump suffice?

Thanks in advance!

$1200 for a pump regulator and a hardwire ?

The MHI will run out of fuel on an AEm320E85 (with FIC1100) at about 480
Even a hardwired AEM will **** out about there.

A walbro 400/450/485 wtfever u call it E85 and FIC1100 will get you about 500
because the injectors will be tapped out.

Do yourself a favor and Get ID1300 and a Walbro 450 E85 and a Regulator

I do these setups Every day on E85 and 1100's are never enough
nor are the AEM320's for anything more than a stock turbo

ID1300, FPR, Wally 450 (not hardwired)
GSC S1 Stock motor

add 15% to make TopSpeed numbers

Good info Baka. Could you get more power if you did hardwire the Walbro 450?
