I've been searching for a few days for an answer to my problem with no luck.

my 2009 lancer ralliart is making a metal on metal grinding noise when its shifting from 1st to 2nd in sport mode during heavy acceleration. as if something is trying to engage and is slipping, it only happens for a second and then stops. anyone have any idea what it could be?

 

no one knows what it may be?

 

For this I would take it to dealership to troubleshoot. Prepare for poverty.
