I dont think the OP is rubbing because he has 225 40 18 tires, if you hit a bump or dip in the road hard enough you will SLIGHTLY rub in the rear.

I am running 18x8 +35mm and when i had 225 40 18s i rarely rubbed maybe 1-2 times but when i got 225 45s I rubbed on ever small bump so i rolled the rears.
