Ralliart Sportback Brake Stopper ?

I have searched away but with no success so the question is ....
"Is there a brake stopper available for the 2011 Lancer Ralliart Sportback ?"
Don't mind if I have to buy from Japan or USA and import to UK.

Cheers

Brian.

I'm guessing your RHD being from the UK?
If so, Cusco has one for the EVO X that is semi adjustable so it may fit RHD RA's.

Part #566 561 A
It looks like it is ment to be used on a Cusco Strut bar as well. I would contact them to see if it will fit an RA and a cusco RA strut bar.

huh! First i had ever heard of one...

Could the brake performance improvement really jusitfy the cost?

SS brake lines - yep - i understand that. Low cost/good improvement. But after that... ?

Help me understand the reasoning... (aesthetics?)
Thanks!

Wink

I had one on my old Subaru Forester T/tb JDM import. Together with braided hoses and Impreza callipers it is just another part of the jigsaw in improving the brakes by preventing the bulkhead flexing when pressing the stop pedal. For the Forester it was only £35 ($50) and did make the pedal firmer.
It seems like a good improvement along with the braided hoses and up-rated pads.
However it looks like there just isn't one made for the Ralliart Sportback although I still have to hear back from Cusco Japan.

Thanks to Neogeo 64 for the link.

Cheers
Brian

Why would it be a different part for the SB? From the B pillar forward they are identical (or so i thought)...

On my GB/EU Sportback the oem strut brace is very basic/cheap in that it is a piece of tubular metal welded onto the circular bracket that goes on top of the suspension mount.
The Cusco brake stopper is additionally fixed/supported by the bolt that goes through the end of the strut bar and joins it to the circular top mount bit. The cusco is a 3 part unit (bar +2 circular top mounts) whereas the GB/EU Sportback strut brace is all one piece.

I wonder if the EVO X oem bar is one piece as well or if that is a 3 piece bit of kit ? Will have to find out.
Found out ! Evo X oem is just the same, all one piece but a bracket where it fastens to the bulkhead.

Wonder if a Brake Stopper could be welded on to the Ralliart strut bar ?
Perhaps the Evo X bar is a better option if it has the extra fixing point. Does one fit the Sportback ?

Questions..questions...
Hope this all makes sense.

Cheers
Brian.

Yes, i didn't express that very well

I was thinking more of the fitment around the strut tower and then the cutting off of the top bit of the bracket so it was in such a position where welding was possible. With careful positioning should be possible. I might find that just the strut tower fixing is strong enough but doubtful.
I will ponder a little longer.

Cheers
