suspension is shot...

so my stock suspension is basically shot to hell and i need to get new shocks and struts.. however it looks like its gonna cost a bunch and I would probably have to pay like 200 labor which by that point would put me close to the price of coilovers. I can get the Megan Racing street coils for 800 and I'm assuming it would be much easier to install these on my own correct? Would it be worth it to get the coils instead?

i did install tein lowering springs on my old GTS but it was a PITA to get those springs off and im assuming with these coilovers i wouldn't have to worry about fiddling with the springs at all since they are already part of the assembly correct?

correct, coilovers have adjustable preload rings which makes removing springs a lot easier. I would recommend spending just a little more for Fortune Auto 500 coilovers. 8k front /7k rear rated spring would be the min I'd get on the Ralliart.

Yes, and no. You can slap them on, adjust your height, and go with it. But if you want it to ride properly you'll have to "fiddle" with the pre-loading on the springs. I can't think of any coilovers that come preloaded correctly for the RAs.

Provided you have an impact wrench...all should go well. I didn't the first time I switched to RRE springs. FML, never again!
