Completed Evo X Turbo Swap

Well I know a lot of people wereexcited to see that AMS Performance were the first to do the Evo X turbo swap on the 09 Ralliart. So was I! So I tried it. Finished it last night at 11:30 p.m. Everythings running fine, no CEL or anything. Did run hot to begin with because I forgot to put more coolant in. I changed my oil today with Castrol Syntec 5W-20 as recommended by Mitsu and Fram oil filter. Will be at TTP-Engineering July 14th for dyno tuning. If you likve in or close to Orlando because we might be having a Dyno Day that day. Stay tuned!!!

Good idea. The furthest I'll go with a Ralliart is an Evo X turbo. Anything else bigger would be overwhelming to the tranny.

I go to TTP-Engineering July 14th for the tuning. Ive drove it today and a little yesterday and havent had a problem with it.I've been keeping my foot out of it and manually shifting so I kinda know how much boost I'm building.

I'll be around since I live here and I'd like to see it. LMK when you take it there.

Well two days of DD on it and no problems. Fixing to relocate the battery to the trunk and order the Ultimate Racing intake for the X. Maybe AMS Boost Pill then it'll be time to leave for tuning in Orlando =]

Why the boost pill?

I see some people with sst trannies running regular boost controllers without issue. Is it just a matter of time for them before they destroy something? I would like to know the exact issue with using a bleeder style MBC. Anyone can take a brass dowel and drill a whole in the middle according to the boost they would like.

No, I dont have a wideband. I've put 200 miles on the car with no CEL or overheating. Seems to be running good. And the boost bill is suppose to stop boost spike for a more even boost.

Do you have a parts list or a step-by-step break down of what you did to complete the swap?

i will be around too.
TTP is on the other side of town for me.
Keep me posted. I am curious to how this will turn out.
I may be swapping out my R/A for an X or a '11 R/A.
But before i do...i would like to see how this works.
That might 'sway' my choice.
heh
thanks

ok. lancerES09

can you please take about 10 minutes and write a review of if everything was bolt on, did anything gave you any problems, did you have to change anything, anything that you can think off. or was this just a as simple as taking RA piping and FMIC off and slapping the evo X piping and FMIC. Since you are probably the first one that has done this ( other than AMS) al lot of people will depend on you to answer questions such as i have ^ ^^^. Reason for that is, i have a guy that is willing to sell me his evo x FMIC and piping... so Please take time and do a small review and be clear.
thanks in advance,, oh and may be some pics, we love pics!!

from what i read you swapped turbo as well? yes? do you think if i would keep my RA turbo will all the piping and FMIC bolt up?
