I have hit the torque limiter once since the swap and tuning. But as far as DD and shifting goes, its just like it was right off the dealers lot.

So my car is with Synaptic 3 for the Turbo Swap, and I bought all the parts listed on the turbo swap list...however, they called me today saying I will need a coupler for the intake to the turbo outlet.. I think probably this needs to be added to the list? Or is there some other way of fitting the intake? I currently have the K&N SRI with the evoX MAF housing...

Any help will be appreciated as this is the only part left to install...and I am suppose to pick it up tomorrow after the tune...

Thanks

Going to do this as well. One thing that is confusing me is do we need the intake pipe from the evo X to connect to the MAF then to pod filter? Or is there a way to rig it up to the RA stock air box?

Just didn't like the idea of going small battery or relocating the battery to the rear. I love my boot space.

you just need something to feed air to the turbo on the intake side. tube/hose/etc. The problem comes from the X turbo having a bend in the inlet

you can try and get someone to match the stock RA intake to the X inlet and keep the stock battery, or go with a small battery - mounted flat down, trunk, or my upcoming bracket

surprised I've seen so many people ask about this lately. I'm working hard, switching to a more proactive and supportive group, and working to get it done. wish this was done sooner, sorry guys

I'll wait and see your bracket before deciding. Guess with your bracket it would be excellent with the exo x stock box. I'm just surprised that no one as made an adaptor to fit the stock RA box. Or maybe the stock box is too small for the evo x turbo.

imo the biggest benefit of an X turbo swap is being able to use the whole Evo X aftermarket. matching it up to the some-what restrictive RA box just seems like a waste to me.

If someone just wants a turbo upgrade, the RAD is a better option imo. The X turbo is more than just a turbo upgrade, it opens up a lot more options

To me I think the RA box is plenty for just a X turbo upgrade. Don't think the RA box is that restrictive. Goal is only 300hp with supporting mods. Probably just go SRI like everyone else to solve the intake problem.

Wonder if the new AEM CAI for the RA can bolt onto the x turbo with a coupler change. That would be the most ideal.

He is talking about the turbo inlet to the intake pipe... they are not at all the same between the X turbo and the RA turbo so you have to either use an adaptor or use an X intake.

really??? have you looked at the inlet size to the airbox?

vs

straight-through with a wide-mouth snorkel vs a front-flip, swerve right, into a tiny bottleneck'd hole and barrel-roll left, then back down?

the stock ra box is fine on stock turbo because the stock turbo is so pathetically small

On these swaps do you need to get it dyno tuned or would any evo x map (stock or cobb or whatever) be fine?

You cannot run a Evo X rom on a RA.
