Go with the x. It breathes better up top.

Big difference in turbo sizes... definitely going to change out for at least an evo when my warranty is up

I would opt for the Rad Lite turbo mod over the EvoX turbo since it gives you basically the same performance without all the extra parts needed to install and run the EvoX turbo.

^ I'd vote for X turbo over the Rad lite. Evo X turbo can be upgraded when you're ready for more power, Rad lite will already be pushing it just to reach stock Evo X power.

The Ralliart can easily do better than stock Evo X power even with the stock turbo with a tune and some minor mods.

Stock Evo X put downs about 230 whp. I have right around 330 whp on my Ralliart with the Rad Lite so I wouldnt say it would be pushing it to reach Evo X hp! The positives about have the rad are:
1) Much cheaper in the parts department than the Evo X turbo
2) Much cheaper in the labor department than the Evo X turbo
3) Its a direct swap with the Ralliart stock turbo so if doing yourself you remove the stock one and put this right in its place.
4) CBRD is working on an upgrade on the turbine wheel for the Rad so it can produce more hp

330 whp seems pretty good on an upgraded RA turbo. What I like about the X turbo is just that you have a higher limit on power, you can send it in to CBRD as well and make even more power. I'm currently gathering the parts for my X swap but I must say the Rad lite upgrade does tempt me as it seems so much easier.

Oh I def agree that going the X turbo route gives you much more options and possibility for power, but Im perfectly happy with what I have. My Ralliart is a daily driver and for one cant be downed for very long and two I dont need a super high hp number and have something expensive break. The only reason my car was downed so I could get the Rad installed was that my acd pump went out and I sent that in to be rebuilt. There are still more possibilities for higher hp number as CBRD has an upgrade coming for the Rad Lite and is also making a manifold for the Ralliart. You can also go E85 but Im happy now as Im not remotely interested in messing with the trans.

So I'm planning on a trip to CBRD soon anyways. If this "new" RAD is better then I might consider it since I plan on spending a small fortune there anyways.
