K&N Drop in - is it worth it?
K&N Drop in - is it worth it?
OK - I can grab a new K&N Drop in filter at a discount. Eventually I plan on doing an AMS or Injen intake kit, hard pipes, larger inner cooler, and the mini battery. But for now, aside from a few aesthetic things under-hood is remaining stock.
I assume that the K&N drop in would NOT require any kind of tune/re-flash. The question is - is it worth it to do this for the 6 months it may be before I actually do the other mods?
Just looking for the opinions, view-points, etc...

No you dont need a tune for a drop in.
better gas mileage is a reason in itself, definitely worth it. if you're looking to keep your motor warranty intact until 3years/36000mi, it also doesn't void your warranty to replace oem filter with k&n
Drivetrain warranty on the RA and Evo is 5 years/60,000 miles. Bumper to bumper is only 3 years/36,000 miles.
