if you got an actual intake and not a drop in you would need to get a reflash to maximize the intake

you cannot put on the maf pipe if you get an intake unless you get a tune. i hear everyone say that the maf pipe leans out the top end too much. I have the HKS RS and just put the filter on for now until i get the car tuned and i can definitely feel a difference.

im in kenosha, i have a reflash already with a turbos xs 3" TBE and hfc, hallman bc, hks ssqv(i know, i know, but i like the sound, forgive me) and stock airbox with k&n drop in. full tien suspension. i have the hks intake and was wanting to put it in, will i have to get another flash if i add this? it has a dynoflash by AL and seems to be running pig rich the way it is now. spooled ix mr, had a 02 IS 300 5spd, awesome looking car but a peice if crap in the winter, so we sold it. but do you guys still think i need a reflash if i install it or just keep the K&N drop in???? seems like the stock airbox would work better seeing as its more protected from engine heat and the hks would be sucking in all the heat under the hood.

Are you wearing a fully vented flamesuit? Amazing you got this far without any flak bursts or tracers...way lucky. Keep the stock airbox 'till you see Al again and have him tune your ECU for the intake, or induction kit as the British call it.
