Where did you get the K&N for $40? I have been looking for one but the only ones I see for that price are used ones.

I'd recommend the WORKS air filter, great product from what I've seen and read!

 

Ive got a used K&N drop in for 45 shipped, only used 3k.

 

i got an HKS Hybrid drop in filter... used for 100 miles... 20bux shipped. paypal ok

 

neither, stick to stock. flows plenty, better filtration, wont ruin the mas air nor cause driveability issues with various tunes.

 

One thing to remember when getting a K&N filter is to wipe off some of the excess oil so it does not coat the MAF sensor and throw the readings off.

When K&N makes them and ships them preoiled they oil them enough so there is enough oil left in the filter even after months of sitting on a shelf. So when you open them you should wipe off any oil that is dripping outside of the cotton element. This will ensure that the oil does not coat your intake tract.
