need a QUICK answer TUNE TODAY!!!

A NEWB IN HELP.. MY TUNE IS IN 2HOURS!!!

Do I need to upgrade the fuel pump for my tune, cause the tuner shop that I'm going to is telling if I wanna max out the Turbo, the tune is gonna require a Fuel pump, and ofcourse a boost controller, he also said he recommend me buying a new set or spark plugs that he has Evo drivers use when he tunes them something to do with the heat, guessing they're iridium which is not bad for $43

my question is do i really need the upgrade the fuel pump, isn't the fuel system, the same as the evos?

MY current upgrades are CONE intake, SSvQIII BOV, 3in Turbo - back then ofcourse if you throw in the two other things this guys is suggesting then I would also have the spark plugs and fuel pump

I think you will max out the stock ralliart turbo before the fuel pump. If you upgrade to a larger turbo, then you may need to upgrade the fuel pump.

My tuner has never suggested upgrading the fuel pump or a boost controller. Unless they changed something for the 2010's, the RA comes with Iridium plugs. I changed my spark plugs just for ***** and giggles but I'm just running OEM Evo X plugs.

Oh, and I am running the X turbo.

so I should just get a tune and not worry about the fuel pump and plugs, but wouldn't i need a Boost controller? to bring up and the boost, for times when the max boost I can achieve is not needed, like if I race then I raise it and if I'm just cruising I can lower it?

What kind of numbers do you all except I'll make with this setup, stock I was 192/212.. and I put on the intake, BOV, exhaust, but stock piping and Front mount. Maybe between 260-280 WHp and 260-290 WTq?

I heard somewhere that boost controllers arent supposed to be used with the SST, cause thats what the boost pill is for. Get a pill and then have them tune it with pill.

Thats right I remember reading about that on AMS's website, thanks for bring that to my attention. LOL but were can I get one in a hour??

Can a tune be done with out a pill or Controller? just strictly ECU? or does it need something to regulated like one of these two, cant they set up a safety on th ECU to know when to regulate?

Thanks again totalownage, this is were I remember reading it http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...oost-Pill.html

Stock fuel pump is fine for ANYTHING the stock RA turbo can dish out on pump gas.

RA spark plugs are 1 step *warmer* then the Evo 10 plugs. FYI

For stock turbo, they are fine, upgrading to larger turbo, I would swap to Evo 10 heat range.

The stock ecu is a better boost controller then almost anything currently on the market, and it came with the car.

If you ordered a GST pill, I would plan on 2-3 weeks, unless something has changed recently and they have improved their order processing.

Yeah. They've been having some issues with their ordering system.

Ya my boost pill never came in, I just received an envelope with an invoice and no boost pill lol. There was a small cut out hole so I think someone stole it, possibly the mail man lol. I didn't even want to bother because it would probably take another 2 weeks to get one from GST so i just got a grimmspeed 3 port boost solenoid from a friend. That is another alternative from boost control
