Thats all only 40hp with the intake, exhaust kit, bov, tune?? that kinda sucks, I thought turbo's cars can achieve, high numbers, just with a tune, but all this money spent for just 48hp = I understand the 25% loss in power to AWD but man

I mean GST Motorsports made 223 whp / 241 wtq just by bring the boost up to 18.5 from stock 17.5, that just 1PSI difference and they made that much off a stock Sportback, which is what I have, and it didn't even have a Boost pill installed...

The PEAK boost may only rise 1psi but the boost taper is removed so the high rpm boost is 4-5psi higher, instead of 8-9psi at redline stock. The major gains are in the upper rpms where boost would normally drop off.

For stock turbo, they are fine, upgrading to larger turbo, I would swap to Evo 10 heat range.

The stock ecu is a better boost controller then almost anything currently on the market, and it came with the car.

i dont mean for this to take away from the thread, but with the stock turbo on e85, i'm under the impression that you would likely want a fuel pump upgrade to maximize output, but would you personally recommend changing over to the evox plugs in that scenario or something else perhaps? i'm just looking for another opinion from a respected member and tuner here. thanks.

from what i understand once you go E85 u must switch fuel pumps anyways to handle the different gas, maybe its a lil more potent or something maybe eats up the pumps, not sure of exact reason, im sure someone will chime in and say why

E85 is more corrosive than gasoline and will dissolve rubber over time. You have to switch out the fuel pump, and any rubber fuel lines.

I think the injectors need to be changed too.

Actually that is incorrect. Most "rubber" lines in todays cars are ethanol compatible.

I run E85 on both my cars, my RA and my Evo, with no issues.

Evo has been running E85 for over 30,000 miles, 24/7. There are people out there that have been running E85 for much longer.

Only fuel upgrades are Injectors and fuel pump on both cars.

The RA needs an additional SS inline fuel filter because of the design of the Evo 10/RA fuel pump/filter assembly.

With the stock RA turbo, the stock RA heat range plugs should be just fine
