Update: 2/20/2011

The new CBRD RAD turbocharger and CBRD FMIC are on and working. This car is an absolute beast, now.

First of all, the FMIC is massive. The welds look phenomenal, too. The quality is second to none.

The car was logged with Virtual Dyno and produced 305 whp and 298 ft/lbs of torque. Bare in mind, that was done with a stock exhaust system and stock fuel injectors. For those of you considering this turbocharger upgrade, you will for sure have to upgrade your injectors. Max Duty Cycle was reached with only 19 psi of boost (which is what the car is currently set at). You will need 800cc injectors, at the very least. This thing is very thirsty. These numbers will be rechecked on Friday with a Mustang Dynamometer. There will be a new set of fuel injectors going on within the next couple of weeks as well as a new exhaust system.

The turbocharger spools as quickly as does the stock unit. You will be in boost by 2500 RPMs.

As for the transmission, no problems what-so-ever. :knock on wood:

Big thank you to Spec-Ops Motorsports for staying late to get this swap done. If any of you need work done or a nice tune, this is where to go to get it done right. Everything was done flawlessly. They even washed my car before giving it back to me.

Modifications to date:
UR LICP
UR UICP
CBRD FMIC
TiAL QR BPV
Hallman Pro Manual BCS
Walboro 255
CBRD RAD Lite Turbocharger

There will be more pictures from different angles eventually. The guys at Spec-Ops took a few.

that is really weird that you maxed out the injectors because i have an evo x turbo on my car and i made 315awhp and 300tq on ams mustang dyno and he never said anything about my injectors or anything. he said i have close to the highest hp ralliart they have ever tuned. he said on the dyno jet i would have put down somewhere around 330awhp.

I will be putting an fp green on in a couple weeks and going to get re tuned and to my knowledge we have the same fuel system as an evo x and they have proven to be able to run close to 400awhp on the stock fuel system so hopefully i dont run into any problems.

i am hoping to be the first ralliart in the 11's

This turbocharger is slightly larger than the Evo X unit. With new injectors and a new exhaust system, I should be right around 330ish (give or take). The heartbreaker Mustang here is Durham is going to read way lower than that. However, I will use it as a reference so that everyone can see just what this thing will net you over just the simple boost pill, tune, and IC.

The handy-dandy butt dyno was reading some good numbers, though.

Nice, so that makes you numero uno for the RAD (other than CBRD that is)
Likely to head in that direction myself!

very glad to hear the turbo is up and running well. i've got a fmic and an intake coming from CBRD myself. going to max the eff out of the turbo in its original form first and see what it can do. then it's definitely onto the CBRD turbo upgrade for me as well.

Great build so far. I look forward to seeing the additional improvement(s) after the new injectors are installed.
