Question: Evo X CAI

Can a Evo X CAI be directly bolted on to a RA if the battery has been relocated?

it wont bolt up to the turbo inlet because they (dont quote me on this) are different sizes, and come out at different angles. However if you X swap ur turbo then you would be golden.

That is not correct, I have pics of both setup on my other computer, will try to dig them up again.... layout is completely different between stock RA turbo and X turbo.Inlet pipes don't even face the same direction.

as soon as my battery bracket is done (you can see my preview thread on this forum), I'm going to take a look and see. I really like the design of the stock X intake, and I think it would be a huge cost-effective upgrade for RAs as well as line up things for an X turbo swap

If it can be done easily for low cost, I might work with my tuner to build something to make it fit on stock turbo. I know Mike@RRE has made a few adapters for X turbos to the RA intake

Yeah I just got done relocating my battery today and I really would like to put an intake there lol. If it can not be done does anyone know of any good intakes other than the pricey ams one?

i spoke too soon, found this from eric@AMS in another thread "Evo X intakes will not fit due to the design of the turbo inlet on the Ralliart. The X turbo has a bolt on 3" 60 degree elbow, the Ralliart has a 2.25" straight inlet, similar to an Evo VIII turbo."

defintly be good of you to dig up those pictures though, might just need a specifically angled reducer

I remember this post too

but their Ralliart SRI is the exact same as their Evo X - just with a different coupler...so...part of me thinks it might be a feasible while still retaining a reasonable cost

We'll see once I get to that point...

I talked to AMS and they said that all that is needed is the coupler and it will work. Which is about 30.00 + shipping if ordered from them.
