AMS intercooler

ANy difference between the AMS EVO X and ralliart intercoolers? Pics on their site show a bend in one of the mounts.

Anyone used mishimoto?

I wouldn't use the Mishimoto if you have the choice.

The bend on the left side (looking at the front of the intercooler) allows the mounts to be even, since the mounting point on the left side is lower than the mounting point on the right side. The fitment is perfect with the bend.

I just installed mine a couple days ago, check this thread:

Thanks Andrew!

The intercoolers are far from identical. The AMS is much taller, therefore it requires you to run an Evo X type UICP. It's also at least an inch thicker. With the right UICP, however, it fits like a glove. In the thread I posted above you can see me holding both intercoolers for comparison.

This is correct.. The upper pipe is required to install the intecooler on the RA. The lower connection is fine.

Here is a picture from a thread I did a while back.

this shows the size difference between the two as well as inlet and outlet placement.

We have had several customers do the install now and the upper pipe is a must. The RA also has a ridiculous factory upper pipe which balloons up under throttle... It's worth the upgrade.

Good Luck!

Michael

After looking at pics, looks like this is correct.
