Transfercase leak ....

was doing an oil change the other day and noticed this

I suggest you take it to the mitsu dealership and have them look at it. They should repair/replace under warranty.

I don't mean to sound skeptical, but just because there's residue on the t-case doesn't necessarily mean the t-case is leaking.

The way everything is spread out looks more like residual blow-back from something else perhaps? Or maybe just a simple axle seal that is slowly seeping and the axle is slinging the oil everywhere? Some further out pics of the leak and surrounding areas, and a bit more clarity, would do wonders to help identify the root cause.

Either way, bring it to Mitsu and get it handled, assuming you're within warranty period still.

well i had some free time today so i went to check to see if i could figure out where the leak was coming from and found this rear diff is leakin now

Wow do you have terrible luck with axle seals. Sorry to hear that man. Bring it to the dealer and they should cover that
