Spark Plugs, this doesn't look right???
#17
I think early 2009 RA's ran X spark plugs but for some reason Mitsu switched to a hotter plug. If im not mistaken NGK ILKR7E6 = Late 2009 through 2011 Ralliart factory spark plug.
The step colder plugs that the X uses will help against spark blowout
NGK ILKR8E6 = Evo X factory Spark plug

Agreed. Stay with OEM... Evo X plugs work great. Part #s are NGK ILKR8E-6 (2008-2010 X) or DILKR8E-6 (2011-2012 X). RA OEM plugs work fine too, but X plugs are better if you're tuning.
The new X plug is a premium iridium high ignitability plug with double fine electrode (designation DI). Don't ask me what that means (that's what NGK calls it).
Both plugs are listed because both plugs were used at some point in the RA production run. Early 2009 RAs used the ILKR8E-6, while RAs built after that use the ILKR7E-6.
