That's not right, there is no way in hell the lag is that long on a TD04, unless your tuner was cockoo-for-cocopuffs

The HTA wheel might be different from the one I have. Like I said this was about 2 years ago. My base line was 200hp.

since we were mentioned-

you can contact us for details-

our upgrade flows similar to an evo X turbo, but spools faster---

the idea was a cost effective STOCK evo X power level without changing manifolds turbos, intakes, outlet pipes, downpipes, etc

Chris from Ams tuned the car so I don't know what to say. CBRD makes great products and there customer service is top notch.

Maybe the scale is off on the chart??? When you floor it, does it take until 4300rpm to hit peak torque (even the bigger X turbo can do it by 3300)?

The FP RA turbo upgrade is $795. Tune will run $300-500 depending where you go. Not sure about installation though but shouldn't be too bad to do it yourself if you know what you're doing.

Take in to consideration down time for your car also.

Silthos, I expected you to hit at least over 300 with the turbo upgrade and supporting mods/bolt-ons. Any track numbers at all like 1/4 mile? Thats interesting

For example with my mods - Boost pill, K&N drop-in, 3 inch catback, High flow cat, Evo X intercooler and piping, plus future 800cc injectors, blacqops fuel pump on 93 octane and then the turbo upgrade from CBRD using the RAD, and considering my elevation to be below sea level, can it be assumed I will be at least at 300WHP with a proper tune from say Chad or Bryan? Imagine adding some cams and springs too.

Its a low reading Dyno. A stock 06 gto dyno'ed 300hp to the wheels the same day. No 1/4 mile time.

Silthos peak numbers are great:
(262-200)/262= 23.66% gain
The only thing that looks weird to me is WHEN his power occurs. It's about 1200rpm to the right??? From FP's email, it sounds like they upgrade the compressor wheel to flow more air. So if the turbine is still the same small size it "should" spool instantly, just like the stock RA turbo. But for some reason it's got the lag of a FP Red (which is ~4300-4500 rpm)...
Silthos, just answer this one question, when you get on the gas, does it take until +4000rpm to hit peak torque?? Compared to stock you would notice this as a HUGE difference.

EDIT: Small math error corrected ;p

When I smash on it, the car moves. Its not like my friends Evo x with an fp red where I can feel some lag.

So what's the update? Is it best to stick with the STOCK RA turbo FP'd or get something like Stock X turbo or FP Green? Possible?

Just depends on what your goal is. Personally I'm doing an fp red swap in the next couple of weeks.

The wheel is rated at 43lb/min that does NOT mean the turbo will flow 43 lb/min... The RAD number of 38 lb/min is based on actual logged flow rate.
