Cel: P0171

After I got tuned, ive had the CEL pop up a few times and after a while it will go off. Is it a bad tune or what that could be causing the CEL. Ive gotten the CEL a few times but I only scanned it twice at autozone and got the same code and the light popped up again today driving home so im assuming its the same code. Anyone else get this code?

P0171
System too lean - cylinders 1-4

Ive been getting the same code after my tune. Car runs strong and shows no signs of knock. From the searching Ive done it seems to be a common thing with cars that have upgraded intakes and tunes. I will however be going back to my tuner just so he can double check everything.

That is from fuel trims too positive. Either the tune needs to be adjusted or something mechanical changed.

Nothing to do with a cat.

If it has to do with fuel trims and nothing was changed on your car then yes the shop should fix it no charge.

I got that error before after Bryan@gst tuned me? I didn't notice anything odd with the AFRs from my gauge. Bryan modified the tune and it went away.

Did your tuner rescale the maf? The car can be running perfectly, but because it's not doing what the car expects to see, it throws a code.

Use your scan tool to see when the freeze frame of the error occured. See what the car was doing. That will give you and your tuner a hint of where to look next. If you dont have a A/F gauge, I would recommend buying one for your own peace of mind when your driving you car.

Don't need a scan tool, I already stated what triggers it in post #5.
