Blue smoke when gettin on the gas

So had a friend take me to get my car this morning and he was following behind. He said when I got on it a few times, he could see blue smoke comin out the back.

So of course now Im trippin... checked the oil and it seems fine, maybe a little high on the dip stick but not sure whats causing this. I changed the oil at 3500 and now thinkin that was too soon?

Your buddy might be seeing black smoke and told you blue. Its normal when you get on it bonestock for the exhaust to spit a little black smoke because the car runs so rich. If it is in fact blue thats a problem.

Unless you have a tuning issue and are running crazy rich at idle it should only happen under load

Oh, you only have 4k miles on your car/turbo? Yeah I'd be doubtful it's blue smoke.

I am in san diego and would be willing to help you check it out if you are still concerned. I have a gopro on my dash and could video so you could see for yourself if you want. Always willing to help out a fellow enthusiast. Like others have said, it was probably just black smoke from running rich at WOT. Our sunny blue skies might have made the smoke look blue!
